Hello again,

There is a bug in 1.17 that means as soon as you try to save any settings in admin you would get kicked out. I have released 1.17.1 to fix the issue. If you have already updated to 1.17 you only need the package I have attached to my forum post at http://carbonize.co.uk/Lazarus/Forum/index.php?topic=2333 otherwise get the relevant package from the downloads page as usual.

Lazarus 1.17

Hi,

I finally got off my backside and uploaded Lazarus 1.17 to the server. The main change in 1.17 is a tightening up of the input handling in admin as well as a redesign to admin it's self. You can read all the changes in the changelog

Download the full package or the relevant update package from the downloads page as usual.

Lazarus 1.16

Hi,

I have finally pushed version 1.16 of Lazarus Guestbook out the door. The main changes it brings are support for sending emails using an SMTP server, change of lightbox script to Highslide and the ability to specify banned IPs using CIDR to make banning whole blocks of IPs easy. I explain more about CIDR in this forum post.

Lazarus 1.15

Hi,

I have just released version 1.15 of Lazarus Guestbook. The main change is the inclusion of statistics to the admin section so you can see some details about your guestbooks entries as well as how many entries/comments have been blocked by the anti spam functions.

Changelog for 1.15

Fixed - Finally converted all the deprecated ereg to preg_match
Fixed - $COMGRAVATAR was not set if no email address for the comment

Added - Statistics of entries/comments to admin
Added - Now keeps a count of all blocked entries and comments

Lazarus 1.14

Hi,

I had no bad reports from the beta of 1.14 and so I am now releasing it for general use. You can download it from the downloads page as usual ( http://carbonize.co.uk/Lazarus/download.php ). Before I list the changes I do have a couple of questions I could do with you answering.

Testers Needed

Hi,

I am working on version 1.14 of Lazarus but need some things testing. The first thing I need testing is something almost all of you can try. I have made some changes to the body.tpl template file as a step towards moving away from using tables in the HTML of Lazarus as well as letting you style the top and bottom via the style section of admin. The other thing that needs testing is I think I have finally managed to get Lazarus to play nicely when used in a CMS such as Joomla. This only needs to be tested by people using Lazarus in a CMS and further information along with the test files are at http://carbonize.co.uk/Lazarus/Forum/index.php?topic=2182.0 although if you want to just try the beta of 1.14 you are more than welcome to.

As always if you do test either of these please leave your feedback in the relevant forum.

Bug in Lazarus 1.13.6

Hi again,

It has been brought to my attention that there was a bug in the vars.class.php file in Lazarus 1.13.6. I have now fixed this bug and replaced the downloadable files with the fixed version. I have just released Lazarus Guestbook 1.13.6. This release fixes a few bugs that have been reported to me. The first two are notices informing about deprecated functions caused by a regression in my code. The last is a bug when searching from any page other than the first page of your entries.

Lazarus 1.13 released

Hi,

I have had no bugs reported from the beta versions of Lazarus 1.13 that I made available for testing and so I am making 1.13 the current stable version. 1.13 fixes a couple of bugs and introduces some new features. The main new feature is that there are now three bad word lists. Words in one list will cause the post to be blocked, words in the next list will cause the post to be marked for moderation and the words in the last list will get replaced with #@*%! when the guestbook is viewed. Another change is to the javascript used for checking the entry form for errors. Now all errors are shown and highlighted as opposed to just the first error the javascript came across. Full changelog can be read in the change log

Four language packs have already been updated for use with 1.13 but some of the others are desperately out of date. So if you think you can help then please feel free to send me your updated language packs.
