I have Advance Guestbook 2.2. I want to migrate to Lazarus 1.5.3. How can I accomplish this task. Currently I have configured the config.inc.php to work with mysql database, but accesing the index.php file I get a user access denied error.

Well as stated above the access denied message means the database information is incorrect. As to the update first I recommend making a backup of your current database. Next visit www.carbonize.co.uk/AG and download the 2.2 to 2.3.x update script then simply use the agupdate.php file as normal.

I figured out that the reason I was getting a access denied error was because of having my database name with a character case incorrect.

Now I get another error which I will post seperately. Hopefully I can get help.

Sounds like you have updated from Advanced Guestbook and not run install.php then selected smart update.
